About ESN Saarbrücken
ESN Saarbrücken saw the light of the ESN world at the National Assembly in June 2020. As section number 39, the capital of Saarland at the border triangle to France and Luxemburg is finally represented in the Erasmus Student Network.
Preparations began in April 2019: Five motivated students, all with international experience, made the decision to bring ESN into the city. We founded the International Student Association ISA Saarbrücken (Founding team: Nadine Schlehofer, David-John Kondziela, Louisa Guse, Jasmin Schlehofer, Bianca Keiper)
From the very beginning, the International Office (IO) as well as the AStA of Saarland University supported us in our journey on becoming a member of the Erasmus Student Network. We are thankful for their support and will continue the close communication and cooperation with them.
In December 2019, we became a Local Erasmus Initiative (LEI) supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst DAAD).
Our goal is to enable foreign students to integrate quickly and successfully and to make it easier for them to have an unforgettable time in Saarland. We can implement this concern much better by choosing an official ESN section.
In the meantime, ESN Saarbrücken grows with each semester and has new possibilities to offer the Incomings an unforgettable stay abroad!
